Opened in June 2013 Croft House Bed & Breakfast is ideally located, in the picturesque village of Harome, 2 miles from Helmsley, nestling between the North York Moors and the Howardian Hills. We offer luxury accommodation and are just 50 yards away from the renowned Star Inn. A five minute walk through the village will take you to St. Saviour's Church and the beautiful Pheasant Hotel.

Enjoy afternoon tea and home-made cakes on arrival and to start the day, choose from a full Yorkshire breakfast or a selection of croissants, yogurts and fresh fruit. We use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and eggs are from our own free-range chickens.

Check out our Facebook page for news about Croft House and details of any offers we will be running during the year, and also see what our followers are saying about us.

Our rooms are individually decorated with attention to detail and thoughtful touches to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

We have every confidence you will have a good night’s sleep in any of our rooms, with our comfy beds, cosy duvets and pillows. All bedrooms include, flat screen TV, DAB radio/docking station, CD player, Wi Fi access, tea and coffee facilities. Little extras add a personal touch, such as bath robes, spa products, hot water bottles and fresh flowers.

Within 2 miles of Harome is the pretty market town of Helmsley and Duncombe Park with its International Centre for Birds of Prey. A short drive away is the National Trust property of Nunnington Hall with its collection of dolls houses, and Castle Howard, where Brideshead Revisited was filmed, with its beautiful grounds, garden centre and shops. Other attractions in the local area include Rievaulx Abbey & Temples, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Eden Camp modern history theme museum.

If walking, cycling or horse riding is your thing then on our door step there are numerous walks, cycle rides and horse riding stables allowing you to explore in unspoilt countryside. For the more energetic, there are many challenging road rides and Dalby forest offers great mountain bike terrain. We offer safe storage so feel free to bring your bike.

We are just 45 minutes drive away from the beautiful City of York, with its unique history, visitor attractions and individual shops.

The East Coast resorts and beaches are about an hour away. Horse racing at York, Thirsk and Wetherby are well within reach.
